A Safe Haven intends to offer an employment model to residents and potential employers: A Nail Haven. Interns, primarily women with children, from our residential population will receive vocational training and job placement in nail salons throughout the Chicago metropolitan area. Be! Products, known for quality nail laquers and state of the art production, will be utilized for hands – on training, and offer marketing classes to clients, teaching product selection from polish manufacturing techniques to gloss details. Interns will be required to remain sober and involved in recovery management practices. A Safe Haven will teach clients to pool resources and collectively purchase retail firms for personal management and long term growth. We will ensure that entrepreneurship, investment strategies and tools are routinely available via classes, mentors and community partners. A Safe Haven Foundation will direct education and training contracts with business and community partners. We will build and sustain jobs, offer competitive wages, create career tracks for clients with long term ownership options made available and supported. Our Foundation at A Safe Haven offers us an innovative opportunity to combine mission with impact, heart with intellect. We intend to continue to make a profit while contributing to our communities and developing a social enterprise that responds to the interest of investors while simultaneously changing and supporting lives. Recovery management offers us the opportunity to do both well; our experience in the field, the mature and sophisticated management of our programs, and the technical efficiencies we have achieved within our infrastructure, ensure quality provision of services. Join us by participating in our growth. Your financial contribution will be matched by direct labor and the successful integration of life and skills training with affordable housing and job placement.
