A Safe Haven offers a unique environment for homeless men and women, ex offenders, women desiring reunification with families and children, people with HIV/AIDS, homeless women with children and temporary assistance for needy families.

A Safe Haven supports an individual through a Continuum of Care.   The steps a client takes to regain a sense of self and purpose in his world is our mission.

1.  A Safe Haven, Family Guidance and TASC have partnered the Residential Recovery Program (RRP) for eight years.  Together, we have developed proven policies and procedures that have reduced the State’s rate of recidivism among ex offenders and offered a model that has had national and global replication. 

400 clients annually…70% success rate

TASC performs assessment and case management for releasees under IDOC supervision.

Family Guidance provides substance abuse assessments.  Total health medical screenings are offered.  Treatment is offered by IOP and OP.  (??????)

Case managers meet weekly for client case review.
